they're saying that it's darker, for sure, and, a lot of critics are also saying it's the best one yet. I'm thinking 85-95 million.

Only thing is... a few talk shows said it will scare small children and word of this is spreading.

yeah sometimes the darker movies aren't the most successful, but, I'm willing to gamble that Harry Potter will be the exception rather than the rule. If people hear that it's better than the first two thats going to add to the excitement, and the buzz is already through the roof, it's been on the charts for months now, it was even popping up on moviefone that one week... I think it will make more since it's being released near in may as opposed to the Chamber of Secrets that came out in November... and mabe you can say that it's simlar to Return of the King in that it's the third movie in a successful series, and that one made more also...

Yeah, but you can also say that right now there is a ton of other movies out for kids to go see... one with a GREEN guy who is kicking ass at the box office.

hmmm I don't know I guess Shrek could potentially take from Potters opening weekend... I'm still thinking at least 90 million though... It's number 2 on moviefone, kids movies don't usually do that great on that chart I think so thats pretty good.

I am more in agreement with Oren on this one. I think Potter will be huge. The one advantage this movie has over all of the other movies out, even kids ones, is that it already has a strong base of kids that have already read the book. Some would think this may hurt it but it seems that everyone wants to compare the book to the movie.

I think maybe the thing people should look at is how the last book did. Which shows interest is still really strong.

IT broke the single day box office record for England. made like 5 million pounds compared to around 2.5 for the first day of the first Haryy Potter. Thats like twice as much, dude.

for a huge movie like this those brackets are ridiculous. if your betting that it's gonna go over 96 million, the odds are pretty good it could go over 103 million as well. actually now that I think about it I'll put 1 unit on over 103 million +175... 103 is a lot more than what the first 2 did, but, I think it might be worth a shot purely based on how well it sounds like it's doing in Britain...

The Morning Show with Regis and that blonde chick have already deemed Harry Potter 3 too scary for YOUNG children. I took the under at wsex. Too many movies, young children 2- 7 will skip it this time around.
